The new entrant to the already competitive 4G-enabled data and calling price war in State is Public Sector telecommunications company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). Recently, it has launched its ₹429 plan offering unlimited calling to any network for 90 days with 1GB 4G data every day.

According to BSNL Chief General Manager KK Thakur, this recent nationally launched plan is the most competitive for the 4G segment of the telecom market as no other telecommunication provider has ever emerged with such a plan for 90 long days.

Also, in lieu to grab the maximum customer base, BSNL has also announced the launch of a new ₹7FRC i.e. first recharge coupon plan on new BSNL SIM offering ₹60 talk time and 500MB 3G/4G data for a month for the ones willing to place their reliance in BSNL from Anil Ambani led Reliance Communications, Docomo and Telenor.

To this, BSNL GM(Marketing) Rameshwar Singh regarded that, “Rs 7 FRC plan is open to all port-in-to-BSNL customers who want their earlier numbers to be retained but will have to wait for activation. We are giving them instantly activated SIM on which they can get Rs 60 talk time and 500MB data for merely Rs 7”.

Also, he stated about two other recent launches of the company, which according to them would definitely steal all the show. So, he regarded that, “One is Rs 485 plan which gives all the facilities of Rs 429 completely free even in roaming for 90 days. Another is Rs 186 plan which also gives unlimited calling to any network with 1GB daily 4G data (speed reduces to 80 kbps post 1GB) for 28 days”.

Here, it needs mentioning that the company is ready to challenge the market with its Bharat One Plan within a week to which he added that, “We are coming up with this plan in association with mobile handset company Micromax which will provide 4G-enabled handset with BSNL SIM at just Rs 2,200 in Jharkhand. Customers will get unlimited calling to any network and up to 5GB data for a month”. The exclusive phones under this plan will hit the Micromax Stores in another few days.

This step by BSNL is definitely taken, keeping in mind the fact that mobile internet traffic in the Indian market is growing rapidly as more users upgrade to smartphones from basic and feature phones, using the Internet for everything from watching movies to shopping online.

With this, BSNL has also launched a wide array of plans for its Prepaid customers. So, for more information just log in at
