After working reportedly on the new ‘i’ product, Xiaomi released the Mi Power bank 2i line up as it is the first ‘Made in India’ power banks in the country. The Chinese company has launched its third manufacturing provision in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. After the two smartphone producing plants in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, to begin the new power bank range locally in the country in a tie-up with Shenzhen-based Hipad Technology.
The Mi Power Bank 2 family that was introduced in June. The new power bank includes the 10000mAh Mi Power Bank 2i and 20000mAh Mi Power bank 2i. The 2000mAh Mi Power Bank 2i comes with dual USB output to match device’s requirement.
The 10000mAh batteries supplied by ATL/Lishen are used to satisfy the portable power needs for your phone tablet, camera, and more. Both the power banks have lithium polymer batteries and smart-control chips powered by Texas Instruments. Between the two, the 10000 mAh Mi Power Bank 2i comes in a polycarbonate case and contains Quick Charge 3.0 technology for the faster charging experience.
The 10000mAh Mi power Bank 2i comes with a price tag of ₹799, while the 20000mAh Mi power Bank 2i comes at a price of ₹1,499. Both the new models will be handy on Mi.com and Mi Home Stores. Xiaomi India’s head Manu Kumar Jain said that the sales of its Mi Power Bank range in the country is four times higher than Lenovo. As Lenovo comes third in terms of leading power bank companies in the Indian market. He also pointed out that false versions of the original Mi Power Bank models are surpassing traditional competitors in the country and till now it is accounted as the second position in the overall power bank pace.
According to the information, Xiaomi has started using a hologram and security code that helps customer identity the genuine models among the mix. He added, “Our power banks have smart features that make them compelling among the competition”.
