Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 which was released in January this year, has received a permanent price cut of ₹1,000. The pricing for the device now starts at ₹9,999 for the 3GB RAM /32 GB storage variant.

The announcement was made by Xiaomi India Head Manu Kumar Jain on Sunday through his Twitter account. “we are announcing a permanent price drop of ₹1,000 on India’s #1 selling smartphone: #RedmiNote4 [sic],” Jain tweeted.

As a result of the price cut, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 with 3GB RAM, 32GB storage is priced at ₹9,999, while the variant with 4GG RAM, 64 GB onboard storage is now available at ₹11,999. The price drop is applicable on both Mi.com and Flipkart. Moreover, the newest price drop makes Redmi Note 4 a more competitive option against models like Moto G5, Nokia, and Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016).

Flipkart has listed some offers o the Redmi Note 4 to give it an edge over the competition. Customers can exchange their existing models to get an exchange worth ₹11,000. Also, five percent discount is available on orders purchased through Axis Bank Buzz credit cards. The online marketplace is permitting its users to pay the amount using the no-cost EMI options at a monthly installment of ₹2,000.

Xiaomi released Redmi Note 4 in India in January. The company launched the Redmi Note 4 I 2GB, 3GB and 4Gb variants at its release. Although the economical variant has not been handy in the country for a while.

To recall, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 sports 5.5 inches full HD display with 1080x 1920 pixel solution ad 2.5D Curved Glass. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC backed by 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage which is expandable up to 128GB.

The device comes equipped with a 13 MP rear camera, while there is a 5MP front facing the camera for selfies. Connectivity options include 4G with VoLTE, GPS, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi and draw power from a 4100mAh battery.
