Bharti Airtel again brings in something new for its users. This time it has announced a strategic partnership with the solutions software provider Amdocs to bring in Artificial Intelligence (AI) based services for its customers in India. This partnership talks about a long-term contract for the introduction of innovative technologies and practices to improve Airtel’s customers’ services experiences.

By leveraging its innovation centers, delivery expertise and its ecosystem of startups, Amdocs will further deploy machine learning and advanced AI-based technologies across Airtel’s businesses.

Further, this collaboration will help self-heal operational issues, leading to the introduction of smart bots into digital channels and rapid launch and activation of new services, leading to the seamless customer experience.

To this, Gopal Vittal, MD and CEO (India and South Asia), Bharti Airtel, regarded that, “Amdocs’ sharp focus on telecoms and their DNA of cutting-edge innovation will add immense value to Airtel’s digital transformation journey and help us to deliver a world-class experience to our customers”.

Amdocs already has a strong focus on India, catering service to a number of the country’s leading service providers.

Airtel has also recently rolled out its ‘Project Next’ i.e. its digital innovation programme aimed at transforming customer experience across all of its services and touch points. This ‘Project Next’ mainly complements Airtel’s massive investments in the construction of a future-ready network under ‘Project Leap’.
