For providing a better usage and enhancing the user experiences, Google might soon launch the integration of Google Assistant with Android Messages. The sole purpose of this integration is to get the better of the messaging app with features such as suggested messages and voice commands. Also, as per reports, the search giant is testing Google Assistant for Android Messages app.

Previously, this Google Assistant was first used in Allo messaging app, and reports also suggested that this Android Messages app integration is going to work similarly to the way Google Assistant worked in Allo. Allo has launched two years ago, and Google recently suggested that it is “pausing investments” in Allo because the “product as a whole has not achieved the level of traction.”

Now as per XDA Developers, Google Assistant in Android Messages would definitely work similarly as it did in Allo app, but without the ability to talk to the Assistant directly. As of now, it is said to suggest recommended things only. Right now, the app so far is reportedly taking commands to recommend weather and restaurants. However, this is only its early step of testing. In all hopes, Google would definitely rope in more features and functionality in further stages of the development, and definitely, these changes might be expected in UI and feature too.
