According to the rumors from the last year, Apple is readying for the official launch of three iPhones this fall. Now, just before this entire thing, the rumors and leaks regarding the handsets have already started taking a toll on the internet. This states that two out of the three iPhones would have an iPhone X like OLED display, while the third model, which is supposedly an entry level device would be available with a more advanced LCD display compared to all the previous iPhones.

Further reports also add that Apple might as well try its hands on Japan Display’s, termed as so-called “Full Active” LCD technology for one of the upcoming iPhones. This LCD display iPhone was earlier rumored to be available with a 6.1-inch screen. However, the new report suggests that the screen size could be around 6-inches.

This third iPhone sporting a 6.1″ LCD display, is also expected to become Apple’s entry-level model of 2018, starting at $700 to $800. Now, a rumor also going afloat out of Taiwan claims that it is still not sure which screen panel to be employed, where the name of JDI’s bezel-starved model, which was introduced last June, is also present. Now, this has an 18:9 aspect ratio, 2,160×1,080 resolution, with slim bezels on all four sides. Now, that’s quite an entrant for any high-end or upper-midrange phone found in the present times.

Thus, it seems now that the LCD iPhone would deliver another ‘full screen’ look, but there might be a notch in there just to keep all three handsets looking alike and that also might account for the size discrepancy, since the LCD iPhone is rumored to be 6.1″ while JDI claimed its panel is 6″.

Also, this is quite an affordable iPhone which would swap stainless steel for aluminum in its frame, as an additional measure helping to reach the price point. Users should also expect it to have a single-lens rear camera and without any 3D Touch.
