Even before its launch, Apple Watch Series 3 is facing a connectivity issue and right now the company is working on its fix.
When Apple had announced its newest innovation Apple Watch Series 3 in the previous part of this month, the Cupertino Giant made it clear that they would prescribe their users to place less reliance on the iPhone while sporting the wearable. Getting LTE connections to this latest Apple Watch Series 3 was like moving a step forward to the goal which states of making phone calls and stream Apple Music directly through the smartwatch. But now, the primary report state about the connectivity as not being much reliable on Apple Watch right now.
The Apple Watch Series 3 seems to be suffering from turbulent connectivity as the smartwatch has been found experiencing issues while being connected to an “unauthenticated Wi-Fi networks without connectivity”. The watch has failed to switch over to cellular connectivity, which was supposed to be as per the norm. Interestingly, this is not a single case of the replacement review unit, facing the same connectivity issues.
Apple has admitted about the drawback, issuing an official statement, stating that “We have discovered that when Apple Watch Series 3 joins unauthenticated Wi-Fi networks without connectivity, it may at times prevent the watch from using cellular”. Currently, the company is inspecting the issue and in all probability will come out with a fix in a future software update.
The pre-order booking of this smartwatch has been commenced from September 15th and would go on a sale initiating from 22nd September in several countries enlisting names like the US, the UK, Australia, Germany. Till now, it is not revealed that whether the majority of the units would suffer from this problem and is only possible to get it revealed once buyers would get hold of them. This latest variant of Series 3 has an estimated price of $399, (roughly Rs.25,000).
The enthusiasts in India waiting for Series 3 have been assured that they won’t face any cellular connectivity issue as LTE variant would not be offered in any country. This non-LTE type, starting at Rs.29,000 would be available from September 29th.
