Telecom sector beaming with tariff war and now subscribers witness the revival of prepaid recharge plans. In this situation, Airtel has recently introduced its ₹119 prepaid recharge plan, which offers the same benefits as what the ₹99 prepaid recharge plan used to offer earlier. Further, Airtel ₹119 prepaid recharge plan would be segmented, meaning that the full benefits of the offer would be only applicable to a certain subscriber base. The prepaid recharge offers 2GB of high-speed 4G data, unlimited voice calls for a period of one month.
Airtel ₹119 prepaid recharge pack, as earlier mentioned, includes 2GB of 4G/3G data, unlimited voice calls without FUP limit and 300 SMS with a validity period of 28 days. While this plan is only applicable to a handful of users, rest of the customers who would recharge for ₹119 would receive 1GB of high-speed 4G/3G data, unlimited voice calls (local, STD, national roaming) and 300 SMS with a validity period for 14 days.
Airtel Rs. 99 prepaid recharge used to earlier offer the same benefits as the current Rs. 119 prepaid recharge. However, customers who recharge for Rs. 99 will now receive 1GB of data, unlimited voice calls and 300 SMS with a validity period of 10 days. The recharge pack is applicable to everyone and not segmented as the above-mentioned pack.
On the other hand, Airtel has removed the ₹129 prepaid recharge plan. The ₹129 prepaid recharge plan used to offer 1GB of data for 28 days, unlimited voice calls without FUP, 100 SMS per day and a validity of 28 days.
Now, comparing it with Reliance Jio, it offers ₹98 prepaid recharge plan that offers 2GB high-speed data, unlimited voice calls, 300 free SMS and comes with a validity of 28 days. Jio customers could avail complimentary subscription to Jio apps.
