Flipkart reveals about Flipkart Plus, i.e. the e-commerce giant ’s loyalty programme, which was recently announced. So, this would be essentially a premium account which would let users access to free and early deliveries, early access to products, and of course to more benefits. Also, more on this states that Flipkart Plus would be officially launched on August 15 and this would be its take on Amazon Prime. However, the basic difference between Amazon Prime and Flipkart Plus is that the latter would not charge its membership fee while the former charges for a monthly and annual subscription. Also, it must be noted that Flipkart Plus would be a points-based programme which lets users earn ‘Plus Coins’ with every purchase on the platform.

As mentioned before, Flipkart Plus is a benefits programme intended to reach customers with a no-fee membership and a range of options on rewards. This programme further promises free and fast delivery, early access to major sale events such as festive season sales, and an upgraded customer support experience. Additionally, all Flipkart customers would begin to earn ‘Plus Coins’ with each order they place. Users would be then able to avail the Plus Coins to avail benefits across shopping, travel, and content categories.
The company further reported that anyone can become a member and thereby users would get benefits based on the Plus Coins loyalty points they gain. More details about the criteria for this programme should become more prominent as August 15 would be drawing near.


The core benefits of this Flipkart Plus programme include Free Delivery on “crores of products,” and Early Access to Major Sale Events that lets users shop before other customers on sale events such as Big Billion Days, Big Shopping Days. It further promises Superior customer support, which refers to the fact that users would get priority customer care with a faster response time. Also, members would get faster delivery of products on the platform.
