The market seems to hype up because of the fact, the Galaxy S8 Active has passed the MIL-STD-810G military specification testing against a set of 21 distinct environmental conditions. Some of these include extreme temperatures, shock or vibration, dust and low pressure clubbed with high altitude. Its shatter-proof screen remains unscratched, even when it is dropped to a hard, flat surface from a height of 5 ft. Unlike its other competitors, the back cover of the handset also has a rugged texture to ensure a secured grip.

According to further reports, in addition to the features mentioned above, Galaxy S8 Active can survive immersion in 5 ft deep water for a span of half an hour. As such, it is the ideal handset for extreme outdoor sporting and the building and construction industry, where standard devices easily succumb to normal wear and tear.

The majority of market experts are of the opinion that the commercial prospect of Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is quite high. Powered by a 4,000 mAh battery, it can offer 32 hours of uninterrupted talk time, 113 hours of radio playback and a 5-day stretch of standby time. The handset runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and works on a single SIM. The device weighs hardly 208 gram and comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB inbuilt storage. However, Galaxy S8 Active supports a micro SD slot up to 256 GB. The product is also rated ideal for amateur photographers with its 12 MP rear camera having features like optical image stabilisation, autofocus, LED flash and 8X digital zoom. There is also a 8 MP front camera particularly meant for selfie experts. The smartphone is available in two colour variants, meteor grey and titanium gold.

However, the smart product with its range of innovative features is yet to launch into India. Tentatively, it will be launched at November end and will be priced within a range of INR 55,000 to INR 60,000.
