Google announced that Assistant will be coming to Android tablets running Android 7.0 Nougat and 6.0 Marshmallow and phones running 5.0 Lollipop. Google mentioned that its Assistant was accessible on some Android phones, Android Wear, Google Home, and an iOS app.

Google Assistant on Tablets

With the Assistant on tablets, the users can get help throughout their day. They can even set reminders, add to their shopping list and the same list can be seen later on their phone. They can even handle their smart devices like plugs and lights, ask about the weather and more.

At present, the assistant tablets will be rolling out over the coming week to the users with the languages set to English in the U.S.

Introducing Google Assistant on lollipop phones

Previously on this year, Google bought it’s Assistant to Android 6.0 Marshmallow and higher with Google Play services. At present the company is adding Android 5.0 Lollipop to mix, so even more users can get help from Google Assistant.

Google said that its Assistant on Android 5.0 Lollipop has started to roll out into users with the language set to English in the U.S, U.K, India, Australia, Canada, and Singapore, as well as in Spanish in the U.S., Mexico, and Spain. It is also rolling out to users in Italy, Japan, Germany, Brazil, and Korea. Once you get the update and opt-in, you will see an Assistant app icon in your “All apps” list.
