Idea Cellular has thought of the latest cashback offer and is its latest take on Reliance Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone. This states of the telco offering ₹2,000 cashback for its prepaid and postpaid subscribers purchasing a new 4G smartphone. The uniqueness in this case states of the offerings which let individuals avail the cashback offer on 4G smartphones of their choice. This is quite an answer by Idea to Jio’s new ‘Football Offer’, and ‘Mera Pehla Smartphone’ offer by Airtel.
Now, Prepaid subscribers, in lieu of availing this cashback under this new Idea offer have to recharge for ₹199 or above each month for the first 18 months, adding up to ₹3,000 to receive a cashback worth ₹750. Now, the remaining ₹1,250 would be credited at the end of the next 18- month period if the cumulative recharge amounts for the period comes to ₹3,000. Also, this states that the prepaid subscribers in all hopes of receiving the full cashback of ₹2,000 would be required to add ₹6,000 in recharges to their accounts in the first 36 months after purchasing a new 4G smartphone.
This cashback offer is also made applicable for postpaid Idea subscribers, but they also need to opt for a Nirvana voice combo plan starting at ₹389 for the entire duration of 36 months.
To this Sashi Shankar, Chief Marketing Officer, Idea Cellular, released a press statement that “Idea’s new cashback offer provides freedom of choice to the customers to use the 4G device to their liking and affordability, as the offer can be availed on 4G smartphones of all brands”.
Idea also added that this cashback would be credited in the form of talk-time in the main account of the prepaid subscriber. For postpaid subscribers, the cashback would be credited against the bill in 2 installments, a ₹750 credit at the end of 18 billing cycles, and ₹1,250 credit at the end of 36 billing cycles. Moreover, this cashback offer is available until April 30.
