Facebook’s popular photo- sharing app Instagram seems to be suffering from a backlog across the globe for multiple users now. As per the recent reports, the problems, which had started at around 8:00, seem to be down for users across the UK and Australia. In fact this list also includes India.
For instance, Instagram users are unable to see people’s profiles or pictures. For this, the report read that, “Users are instead greeted with empty profiles and a message that the app “cannot refresh feed”. The web version of the app also has problems”.
Several Instagramers have also taken to Twitter to report problems with the service. Like an user tweeted that, “Is instagram down? Or is it just me?” Majority of the users which is almost 45 per cent, reported problems with the News feed while log-in and website issues were reported by 34 per cent and 19 per cent users respectively.

However, this is not the first time Instagram has stopped working for users. For instance, it was only last month, when Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram crashed across various parts of the world, with parts of North America, Europe and northern Africa being affected most by the leaks. However, Instagram has not yet released an official statement on the issue.
