QR Code Support– Automatic detection of QR codes is now supported. This is possible by just opening the camera and pointing it at one. So all those third-party QR code apps are not needed.

Leveling Tool – This starts with Navigating to Settings -> Camera and then switching onto ‘Grid’. So, now when the camera is taking a photo of something directly below it two + icons will appear. By lining those up the image will be exactly level before the user takes the shot.

Live Photo Editing – The steps involve opening a Live Photo, tapping Edit and muting the video, and lastly looking at the video preview at the bottom, trimming it the way the users want, makes it a normal video by dragging the sliders from either end. Further users can also swipe up on a Live Photo to add Bounce, Loop, and Long Exposure effects.

Live Photos In FaceTime – If both FaceTime callers have iOS 11, in that case, a shutter button shows up during FaceTime calls. Pressing it records a shot Live Photo. Over here it needs to be noted that the other caller is notified about this.

Eyes on the road while driving:

This is perhaps one of the best apps aiding drivers to stay focused on the road while driving.

iPhones detect their users when driving through vehicle movement or Bluetooth connections, and automatically silences notifications to keep the screen dark. After this, users are provided with the option of sending an auto-reply to their Favorites, contacts or recently added to let them know they are driving and cannot respond until they have arrived at their destination.

Tune into the favourite music with friends:

This includes users creating a profile and then following friends to listen to shared playlists and see the music they listen to most. The Apple Music subscribers also start receiving notifications like when friends follow them, or any new music is being released and more.

Smart Storage:

The ‘Storage and iCloud Usage’ has been renamed as ‘iPhone/iPad Storage’ in the Settings and offers recommendations for saving space with options such as auto deleting old conversations, removing large iMessage attachments and storing messages in iCloud.

Auto App Removal– This implies going to the Settings -> General -> iPhone Storage, after which the iOS 11 provides the option to automatically delete lesser used apps when low on storage. All data and settings are saved so nothing is lost and the app will return when storage is freed up.

This allows quick password sharing. This occurs while two iOS devices are running iOS 11 in close proximity, but only one of them gets connected to the WiFi. This device will now get an option to share the password if the other tries to connect. If agreed, the user will get immediately connected without typing anything.

One-Handed Zoom- The much earlier established feature in Android with Google Maps, is now also witnessed in iOS 11 enables the user to double tap on Apple Maps. If the finger is held to the screen on the second tap, then the swiping up and down will lead to the zooming in and out.

Flyover Mode– To enable this, a 3D view needs to be selected, then a popular city and then the Flyover option. With this enabled in iOS 11, the user can now fly over the entire city, by moving around.

The Phone Options:

SOS– The Phone Section found on the Settings states of an ‘Auto Call’ option which will dial 9 11 if the either of the Sleep / Wake / Power buttons is pressed quickly five times.

Auto Answer: This feature is optional for users, and can get it enabled only if a disability is proving itself vital. This implies like visiting Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Call Audio Routing -> Auto-Answer Calls and then the user might set a time period up to 60 seconds, by when the calls will be automatically answered.

So, these are some of the intrinsic features. For more, a recent update to the iOS 11 is necessary.
