ixigo, India’s leading travel search marketplace announced the release of its upcoming artificial intelligence travel assistant – TARA. The company declared that it would officially release in early 2018.

ixigo believes that the next one billion of internet users will not use keyboards or text inputs and voice and gesture will replace keyboards, touchscreens eventually.

The CTO and Co-Founder Rajnish Kumar at ixigo displayed TARA. It is voice-enabled, 100% AI-driven travel assistant that helps users discover, plan, book and manage their travel. TARA received immense appreciation and votes, both from the jury and the attendees for features that are first in the world. That includes emotive voice-based assistance, pre-emptive trip planning, automated frequent flyer programme management, seamless flight search & booking and automated web check-in. TARA will officially be launched in early 2018.
