The competition in the telecom market is at its peak. As the service providers are coming up with the value offers each passing day. Now the Idea has upgraded its ₹309 plan to go against Jio, within a month of its release.
Under the updated plan the users will get 1.5GB of 4G data per day instead of the 1GB data per day. This also brings the total limit of the bundled data from 28GB to 42GB. The plan also proffers voice calls with a cap of 250 minutes per day and 1,000 minutes per week. Beyond the limit, subscribers will have to pay one paisa per second. Even the SMS count will be limited to 100. ₹1 per local SMS will be charged from the Post-paid users. Rest everything remains the same as the previous plan.
Jio newly declared its ₹199 plan under which it will offer 1.2 GB of data daily. This means 33.6GB of high-speed data for 21 days. Along with unlimited calls and access to Jio services like Jio TV, Jio Cinema, etc. Therefore to take on Jio’s ₹199 plan Idea announced its upgraded ₹309 plan in which it will be offering a sum total of 42 GB of data with a validity of 28 days. Along with that, the company will be offering unlimited local or STD calls, free roaming calls and hundred SMSes per day under its ₹309 plan.
Idea is also offering 1GB extra data for its users who recharge through the MyIdea app or website. Well, this is not the first time Idea has decided to take on Jio by revamping its existing plan. Previously on this month, the Aditya Birla Group-owned telecom operator revised its ₹398 plan which now offers 1GB data per day for 70 days. Jio has a similar ₹309 plan which offers 1GB of daily data with a validity of 49 days.
