LG India recently launched its latest smartphone in India. Named as LG Candy, this is priced at ₹6,999 and comes with changeable back covers.
To this, Advait Vaidya, Business Head-Mobiles, LG India, added in a statement that, “LG Candy’ smartphone is focused on delivering even more value to consumers looking for the right device that fits their lifestyle and needs. We’re confident to capture the hearts and minds of consumers in the fast-moving market with our ‘Candy’ smartphone, its beautiful covers, camera technology and other features”.
LG Candy: specs and features
LG Candy features boast of a 5-inch display with HD (1280 x 720 ) resolution. Also, this smartphone is powered by an unspecified quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. Talking in terms of storage, LG Candy offers 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage which is again further expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card.
Talking of photography, there are an 8-megapixel rear and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The smartphone is fueled by a 2,500mAh battery. Now coming back to the software front, it runs the older Android 7.1.2 Nougat. Connectivity options on LG Candy include dual-SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and 4G LTE. The device would be available, starting from September 1, in color variants of blue, silver and gold.
LG Candy Competitors in India:
For the asking price of ₹6,999, the LG Candy would have to compete with the popular Xiaomi Redmi 5A and the newly launched Infinix Smart 2. The Redmi 5A is right now the best selling smartphone under ₹7,000 as it packs Snapdragon 425 SoC, 2GB/3GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB of internal storage and a 3000mAh battery backs the device.
