LG V30+

LG has introduced its high-end flagship phone, the V30+ in India. The phone is said to be the successor of the V20, the V30 that comes with a premium design and premium hardware specs. However the V30+ aims at three aspects: audio, video and photography. The V30+ is the phone that comes with a big bezel-less display, Hi-Fi Quad DAC, and dual rear cameras.

If one takes a close view of the LG V30+, it leaves no hardware spec unchecked and has the potential to stand toe to toe with the best-in-class like the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, the Apple iPhone X, the Google Pixel 2 and others. Here’s a closer look at LG’s new V30+.

Specifications of LG V30+


The LG V30+ comes with large FullVision and sports a 6-inch QHD+ (1440×2880 pixels) FullVision OLED display with a pixel density of 638ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection. The device supports HDR10 standard. The device boasts of an edge to edge display screen and an unusual 18:9 (2:1) aspect ratio instead of a regular 16:9.

Processor and storage

The LG V30+ is powered by a 2.45GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor clubbed with Adreno 540 GPU. The device runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat-based UX 6.0The device comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage which is expandable by up to 2TB via a micro-SD card.


The LG V30+ sports dual camera system. 16megapixel rear camera with a standard angle (f/1.6 aperture) and one 13-megapixel 120 degrees wide angle (f/1.9 aperture) lens. On the front, the device sports 5-megapixel camera with a “wide” 90-degree field of view and f/2.2 aperture.


The V30+ is backed by 3,3000mAh battery and supports both fast and wireless charging.

Additional features

The V30+ is also dust and water resistant, with IP68 certification. Apart from being shock resistant to a MIL-STD-810G rating. It also sports a face unlocking feature as well as a Floating Bar interface, which replaces the secondary ticker display seen on previous V-Series models.

Price and availability

The LG V30+ launches in India at a price of ₹44,990. It will go on sale from Monday that is December 18 on Amazon India. The smartphone will be handy in Aurora Black and Cloud silver color variants in India, with other color variants, are said to arrive at a later date. Pre-bookings will open from Thursday itself.
