Motorola has hit the headlines this time with the news that its Moto G6 series of mid-range smartphones might be launched in the latter part of this month, in all probability. Also, the latest leaks suggest that the upcoming Moto G6 might be released next month along with two additional versions, namely a G6 Play and G6 Plus.

The pages on Fry’s website, however, indicative of a May release and that would be also announced sometime before that.

Now, to delve deep, the Moto G6 is expected to sport a 5.7-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, a resolution slightly above 1080p, 32GB of storage, a fingerprint reader on the front, and a dual-camera system on the back. Along with this, it would run on Snapdragon 450 processor and a 3,000mAh battery. Then Fry’s listing also added that it would be priced at $250. Here, it also needs mentioning that Motorola’s G phones have always stood out for being well-rounded, without falling down in any major ways.

The next in queue is the Moto G6 Plus, which is supposed to have a 5.93-inch display, with the same 18:9 aspect ratio and slightly greater than 1080p resolution. Right now, not much of an information has been gathered but prior leaks have suggested that it would have multiple RAM and storage options, up to 64GB. It’ll also run on a Snapdragon 630, making for a faster and of course a more expensive phone than the standard G6.

The G6 Play is supposed to be the entry-level model. Traditionally, Motorola has given Play models bigger batteries and is repeated here again. Other specs include a 4,000mAh battery, which ought to last well into the second day of use. For comparison, the Galaxy S9 has a 3,000mAh battery, and it’s a much more demanding phone. The negative fact state that the Play would be lower-end in other ways. It would have a Snapdragon 427 processor and only a single camera. In fact, while the normal model would have the 5.7-inch display, it appears the resolution will be below 1080p, listed at $200.
