Reliance Jio has been the most talked-about name in the Indian telecom industry, since its launching in September last year. Keeping in sync with this trend, it still managed to be in the headlines, as Oppo announced its partnership with Reliance Jio to provide its customers with special data benefits.

According to the plan, a customer, who purchases an Oppo smartphone and accepts Jio Prime membership, will enjoy 10GB of extra data on every recharge of Rs. 309 and above. It is important to note here, users are allowed a maximum of six recharges as of now.

The experts, term this as a ‘great marketing strategy’ to benefit both the hardware manufacturer and the network service provider at the same time. On buying an Oppo F3, F3 Plus or F1 Plus handset, Reliance Jio will offer up to 60GB of bonus 4G data, which is equivalent to 10GB on every Rs 309 recharges and above for six recharges. Similarly, those, who are buying Oppo F1s, A33, A37 or A57 smartphones, will get a bonus of 42GB data. This works out to 7GB of 4G data or every Rs 309 recharge or above.

In the context of launching this offer, Will Yang, Oppo India’s Brand Director has been quoted as saying, “For OPPO, customer satisfaction and delivering the best experience has always been a key focus area. Through this association, we will be able to reach out to more consumers and help them experience technology at its best.”

Furthermore, this offer has been reported to stay valid from June 30, 2017, to March 31, 2018. In order to activate the bonus data vouchers, users are requested to first download the MyJio app on their Oppo devices.
