After making a successful foray into the consumer goods market, Patanjali invades telecom. Yoga guru Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali unites with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to launch Swadeshi Samriddhi SIM cards. At an event, Baba Ramdev launched Swadeshi Samriddhi SIM cards in alliance with the telecom.
Patanjali SIM card offers-
Patanjali proffers a phone SIM card which will allow the user to make unlimited calls across the country. The users will get 2GB data pack, 100 SMS with a recharge of ₹144.
After its full-fledged launch, people will get discount of 10% on Patanjali products with this card. Apart from this, people will also get health, accidental and life insurances.
Talking about the company’s intention “prosperity for charity“, he further said that in addition to attractive data and call package. The card also comes with the medical and life insurance covers of ₹2.5 lakh and ₹5 lakh, respectively. However, the covers could only be utilized in the case of a road accident
Initially, the Patanjali SIM card can only be availed by the Patanjali employees and office bearers of the company.
Ramdev said in the event that, government-owned BSNL is a ‘Swadeshi network’ and the motive of both Patanjali and BSNL is the welfare of the country.
Ramdev said, “There are five lakh counters of BSNL and from there people can soon get Patanjali Swadeshi Samriddhi card”.
BSNL Chief General Manager Sunil Garg, who was also present here also praised the tie-up of the company and BSNL.
He added, “Patanjali’s plan is BSNL’s best plan. In Rs 144, one can make unlimited calls from any part of the country. We are giving 2 GB data pack, 100 SMSs. The members of the company have to prove their identity and then SIM will be activated soon after some paperwork”.
