Getting ‘viral on Social Media’ is much in vogue these days. Things go viral all the time for various reasons. Sometimes it might be a compilation of jokes from a Bollywood roast, other times it’s a video of Arijit Singh screaming in anger to “fix his f***ing mic”. Sometimes voices in protest heard against the much-applauded designer, disgracing women ‘incompetent’ in wearing a sari, alias disrespecting Indian culture.

Right now, the Internet is talking about Priya Prakash Varrier, going viral, courtesy a music video. In it, she’s part of a tiny clip where she’s playing a school student winking flirtatiously at a fellow student. In a matter of two days, her Instagram account is now verified and has over 2.6 million followers. This clearly is an example of social media hysteria, much similar to the like Pokémon Go.

Of course, the next step here is making memes out of it, and even this one had its share. But the smile of this 19-year-old Malalayam actress has melted everyone. Yes, right now in India there is hardly anyone who has not been enthralled by her smile and wink of the eyes and have not yet caught a glimpse of her video on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or YouTube. Right now, she is Google’s third most searched personality.

But, India has also turned quite a number of people Internet sensations overnight. Here, let’s take a look at the list:

Arshad Khan:

The Pakistani Chaiwala (tea stall vendor) is of a different nationality but has stirred the hearts of millions in India, with his blue eyes. This did nothing less on the Internet. Arshad got an offer from a model agency after the photo was viral and it came into discussion overnight.

Dhinchak Pooja:

How can anyone forget her? Rather, her voice? Even if her loved ones are on low, but with the voice of the INTERNET she became ‘Tehelka’ on YouTube.

To state more, she is Pooja Jain, a student of Delhi University. She kept everyone upset with songs such as ‘Swag wali topi’, ‘Afreen Bewafa ‘, ‘Selfie Maine leli aaj ‘. Recently, she was also seen in Big Boss 11 as a Wildcard entrant, from where it was dropped two weeks later.

Om Prakash Mishra:

Much similar to Dhinchak pooja, he might be considered as the male version of Lady Dhinchak. Best known for his “Aunty ki ghnty” song, which went Viral in 2017 but originally sung in 2012. He went into a big controversy for the lyrics, but never the less got the support of his numerous fans, which even listed name like star rapper Raftaar, who took his side on Quint-Neon Issue.
