Apple has again arrived with something new and unique this time. It has formally launched the iPhone 8and iPhone 8 Plus RED Editions. These new iPhone models come with a matte red aluminum finish and boast of 64GB and 256GB storage options. Also, these two new iPhone models would be initially available for pre-orders in the US and other markets from Tuesday and would be in stores beginning from Friday, April 13. Although, Indian availability for these new models is set for May. The main aim of Apple, behind launching these red variants is to support RED, an organization that raises awareness and funds to help combat HIV/AIDS in Africa.

To know more, Apple has partnered with (Red) since 2006, and during the last 11 years, have donated more than $160 million to the Global Fund, serving as the organization’s largest corporate donor.

The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus would sports a 4.7-inch and a 5.5-inch display respectively, with black bezels around the screen. Apple had previously launched iPhone 7 models in Red last year, which had white bezels around the screen. The iPhone 8 Red would be available in 64GB and 256GB variants, with a starting price of ₹67,940.

Along with the iPhone 8 Red, Apple has also launched the new RED iPhone X Leather Folio for ₹7,900. In conclusion, Apple has also claimed that this contribution helped people affected by HIV in Ghana, Lesotho, Rwanda, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Kenya, and Zambia.
