Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro has now become official, with the Chinese smartphone making company revealing its latest mid-range smartphone in Thailand. Speculated to be the successor of Redmi Note 5 Pro, the new Redmi Note 6 Pro boasts of key upgrades such as dual selfie camera setup, a 19:9 display with a notch, upgraded rear camera sensors, a slightly bigger display, and AI-based features. However, talking of processor powering the Redmi Note 6 Pro, Snapdragon 636 remains unaltered. Interesting enough, this phone is also not yet listed on Xiaomi Thailand’s website, but can be found on the country’s official Mi forum.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro: Price
Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro price is fixed at THB 6,990 which is roughly ₹15,700 for the 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage configuration in Thailand, as revealed on Mi Forums and Facebook. Other variants of the smartphone though are not known yet. Also, this phone would be made available on Thailand-based e-commerce websites from September 27 to September 30 in Black, Blue, and Rose Gold colour options, with a free bundled Mi Selfie Stick or Mi Wi-Fi Repeater. However, as of now, there is no word on the Redmi Note 6 Pro price in India or release timeline yet.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro: Specs and features
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro runs MIUI on top of Android, and boasts of a 6.26-inch full-HD+ IPS LCD full screen panel with a 19:9 aspect ratio, 86 percent screen-to-body ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Also, the handset is powered by a 14nm octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC, coupled with an Adreno 509 GPU, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of inbuilt storage. There could be other configurations as well, however haven’t been revealed yet.
Talking of camera department, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro sports a dual rear camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with Dual Pixel autofocus, 1.4-micron pixels, and AI portrait 2.0. On the front, there is another dual camera setup with a 20-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor, coupled with with 4-in-1 super pixel and AI face unlock capabilities. Also, just like the previous one, there is a 4,000mAh battery under the hood that is claimed to last up to 2 days on single full charge.
