The South Korean electronic manufacturing giant, Samsung is unveiling the Galaxy Note 8 smartphone today. The launching event will take place in New York, at 20:30 hours IST. According to reports, expectations from the Galaxy Note 8 is steadily swelling. It may be recalled in this context, its predecessor, Galaxy Note 7 was recalled after launching, because of its faulty battery. In fact, quite a few reports came up then, about unexpected fire hazards from the faulty battery of the Galaxy Note 7 handsets.

Prior to launching, speculations are going higher on the price and features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. It is expected to be priced somewhere around 1,000 Euros, which is approximately equivalent to INR 75,400. This stands in sharp contrast to the Galaxy Note 7, priced at EUR 849 (nearly, INR 63,900) hardly a year back. However, this price is yet to be confirmed and thus, it is better to wait-and-watch.
There is also some unconfirmed information doing the rounds. One such claims, the Galaxy Note 8 will be available for pre-order from August 24, just a day after its release and the shipments will start arriving not before September 15. The bonanza on pre-ordering will include either a Samsung Gear 360 camera or a 256 GB SD card and a wireless charger free. However, there is no official confirmation about this free offer as yet.
The Android-powered handset will be available in eight colour variants, including Arctic Silver, Coral Blue, Deep Sea Blue, Dark Blue, Midnight Black, Violet/Orchid Gray, Gold and Pink. Apart from the high-resolution dual camera, the smartphone is expected to come with an S Pen with great touch sensitivity and a fingerprint scanner. One of the dual cameras will have a wide-angle lens, while the other will sport a telephoto lens with 2X optical zoom, to facilitate professional-level photography. Moreover, the product will have 6 GB inbuilt RAM, 64 internal storage, which can further be expanded through microSD card and a 3,300 mAh battery.
