Good news for all the Android and iOS device users out there. Elon Musk-owned Tesla, which had gained much prominence for its production of electric cars, had quietly launched a new Tesla Powerbank for the Android and iOS smartphones. With this, Tesla had also recently unveiled its huge semi truck, i.e. another fully electric vehicle along with a revamped version of Tesla Roadster.

Now, coming back to the Powerbank, and listed on the company’s website, it has a price tag of $45. Also, the company had launched a Tesla-themed battery enabling charging iPhones, iPads or any other device that takes a micro USB.

Here, Tesla has added that the Powerbank is designed after the Tesla’s supercharger monument which is at the Tesla Design Studio. Also, the Tesla Powerbank has measured the following dimensions like 108 x 30.5 x 23.3mm and comes with an integrated USB and integrated Apple lightning cable option. So this means an iPhone user can just directly plug their iOS device into the Tesla Powerbank without carrying out the Lighting-to-USB cable.

The Tesla Powerbank also has a detachable micro-USB cable and the company claims to have a “High-efficiency circuitry to deliver maximum battery capacity.” This Tesla Powerbank also boasts of a 18650 cell with 3350mAh capacity and of 1800±200mA with an output of 5V/1.5A max. It’s available for sale is confirmed by the company’s website.

But, the point remains is it worth purchase? I mean, if one can buy a generic one with the same specs, but only by paying $9.99, then what is this whole thing with buying Tesla? Well, to be honest, this is definitely quite an opportunity for a Tesla fan, but if the search is for a great battery pack then one should definitely opt for less expensive and better-performing brands of power banks.
