Vivo is set to release its smartphone Vivo X21 in India today. The handset is launching at 12:30 pm IST event in New Delhi. The Vivo X21 and Xivo 21 UD was first released in China in March of this year. In India, the company has decided to release the Vivo X21 UD variant as the Vivo X21 itself.

The smartphone is also eligible for the Android P Beta update that was released at Google I/O earlier this month. The handset last week went up for pre-bookings ahead of the India launch. It is also a Flipkart exclusive, and the e-commerce site has already detailed launch offers.

Vivo X21 specifications

Display

Vivo X21 sports a 6.28-inch full-HD+ (1080×2280 pixels) Super AMOLED display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. Dimensions of the phone are 154.5×74.8×7.4mm and its weight is 156.2 grams.

Performance

The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC. The device is coupled with an Adreno 512 GPU, 6GB of RAM. The device runs FunTouch OS 4.0 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. It has 128GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB).

Camera

The device bears a vertical rear dual camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture) and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor (f/2.4 aperture) with LED flash.

On the front is an iPhone X-like notch that houses the 12-megapixel front camera which has features such as a f/2.0 aperture, IR fill light, 3D mapping, and Face Wake facial recognition.

Battery and other features

The Vivo X21 comes with 3200mAh battery, with fast charging support.

Connectivity options on the handset include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, USB 2.0 with OTG support, and GPS.

Sensors on the phone include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and under display fingerprint sensor.

price and launch offers

In China, the Vivo X21 price is set at CNY 3,598 ( ₹37,100 approx) for the 128GB inbuilt storage variant with the under-display fingerprint scanner. India pricing is expected to be around the same – between ₹35,000 and ₹40,000.

The smartphone is exclusive to Flipkart, and the e-commerce site had already detailed the Vivo X21 launch offers ahead of its launch in the country. The handset launch offers include an extra ₹3,000 off on regular exchange value. Along with, 5% cash back on SBI credit cards, and no-cost EMI up to 12 months on all credit cards.
