WhatsApp has been on the verge of updating its features in order to improve and for the betterment of user experience. While users have just received the image preview features on WhatsApp, a recent report added that the Facebook-owned platform might be launching a new WhatsApp feature which let users preview videos in the notifications bar.

According to the post by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is rolling out the possibility to view videos directly in the push notification for any iOS beta user having the version installed! Soon it would be also available for App Store users. For the unknown, users would be also able to see text messages and photos via the notification bar. However, with the video preview option added to the list, WhatsApp might be expecting that users would be able to consume their chats in a better way.

Currently, WhatsApp users have to open the app in order to check the video messages received on the chats and this would generally change the last seen if users are just checking the WhatsApp messages. Once the new WhatsApp feature is rolled out, users would be able to check all kind of messages directly from the notification bar without the need to going into the app or changing their last seen. Moreover, users won’t have to worry about the blue ticks also, showing on the senders’ screen.

Thus in more clearer terms the new WhatsApp feature allows users to get a video preview in push notifications, which makes them able to view video messages even from lock screens of their smartphones. Though right now, this video preview option is only available for users on WhatsApp beta version On the other hand, users wishing to avoid video previews in their notifications bar on lock screens would be able to customize their notification settings from the app.
