Xiaomi is all in the news again, getting geared up for the introduction of 6X, the companies to be revealed mid-end smartphone and a spiritual successor to the Mi 5X. The latest addition to this is the leaked images of the Mi 6X, showing the probable features of the upcoming device.

Posted on Weibo, and detected by OnPhones, the leaked images shows certain similarities with the Mi 5X, in terms of the design, which India has known as the Mi A1. Perhaps the most striking feature is the vertical camera setup on the back that resembles the one seen on the iPhone X. Apart from this, the fingerprint scanner is also visible,  placed on the back of the device. Compared to the Mi 5X, its successor shows much thinner bezels at the top and bottom. The reason for this change is definitely the inclusion of the 18:9 display. The report also suggests that the phone might support a 5.99-inch display, similar to the Redmi 5 Plus.

Another leaked image of the phone, posted on Slashleaks, shows the Xiaomi Mi 6x in a gold color variant. Now, this design is quite similar to the one leaked on Weibo. Additionally, SlashLeaks also supposedly has a back cover for the Mi 6X would be a cutout for the vertical camera setup.

Talking about the internals, there are no leaks right now, the phone might be powered by Xiaomi’s leaked Surge S2 processor. This processor features an octa-core processor, with four cores of Cortex-A73 clocked at 2.2GHz, and four cores of Cortex-A53 clocked at 1.8GHz. Also, this processor is said to have a Mali G71 MP8 graphics processor, and support for LPDDR4 RAM and UFS 2.1 storage. Most importantly, this leak does also point towards a probable Xiaomi Mi A2 launch for markets like India later this year.
