Xiaomi would be soon in the news again. This time it’s on the verge of announcing its next flagship smartphone Mi 7.
Previously, it was expected that the Chinese manufacturer would be launching its flagship smartphone, Mi 7 in the Mobile World Congress (MWC), which would be acting as its launchpad.
But, even before this launch, a screenshot, claiming itself to be from the Mi 7 itself, has been taking on a toll on the net for quite some time now.
These screenshots reveal some of the probable specs and features of this yet to release flagship device.
As per the leaked images, this Mi 7 would be backed by Snapdragon 845, with a battery capacity of 4,480 mAh which is a rise from the 3,350 mAh battery found on the Mi 6.
Other key specs and features include 8GB of RAM which is quite expected. The high-end variant of Mi 6 comes with 6GB of RAM and it is only logical for Xiaomi to upgrade it to 8GB.
This soon-to-be-released smartphone is might also boast of dual 16-megapixel cameras and a 5.6-inch display of 2160×1080 pixels resolution.
However, the screenshot misses out on the MIUI version powering the Mi 7. If to believe entirely the images provided by the screenshot, this particular phone runs on MIUI 8.1.30 which is rather dated. MIUI 9 has been out for quite a while now and Xiaomi’s flagship running on a dated OS is unbelievable.
Well, the wait is only up to the month of April, when the device would be unveiled, putting an end to all the confusions.
Here, it also needs mentioning that last year, the company ditched the Mi 6 and brought the Mi Mix 2 to India instead. It would also be interesting to see whether Xiaomi brings the Mi 7 to India this time. So, let’s hope for the best.
