Xiaomi is there again with its latest innovation. But, no this time we are not talking about any smartphone, but Xiaomis latest series of smartwatches. Xiaomi is looking forward to new plans and ideas to venture out its wearable conquest with a duo of new smartwatches from sub-brand Huami. The Amazfit Watch 2s and Sports Smartwatch 2, are the 2017’s successor to the Amazfit Pace.

The launch of this Amazfit Smart Sports Watch 2 was announced in China along with an Amazfit Smart Sports Watch 2S Premium Edition model, which basically offers a premium quality strap over the standard model.

The next factor is definitely the pricing. The regular Huami Amazfit 2 would be available at CNY 999 which is approximately ₹9,700, while the premium model that would be available with an additional leather strap would be priced at CNY 1,499 i.e. approximately ₹14,500. That leather strap sure seems mighty expensive considering that the rest of the hardware is identical to the standard model.

With this, let’s take a quick look at the specs and features of these smartphones.

The Amazfit 2 offers a case carved out of carbon fiber reinforced polycarbonate with a bezel that is made of polished ceramic. The buttons are built from 316L stainless steel, while the 2.5D curved screen is made of sapphire crystal.

With this, there’s also a 1.34-inch color touch display (320×320 pixels) that is not exactly round. Rather the looks are similar to the first Motorola Moto 360 Android Wear with the offerings of a notch at the bottom.

The internal storage boasts of 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage and this overall thing is powered by 280 mAh battery, which as per the claims by Huami can deliver up to 5 days of extensive battery life. Also, this battery life has the GPS turned off or 35 hours of intense usage with the GPS and heart-rate monitoring switched on.

Lastly, other additional features include, its water resistant capacity up to 50 meters and with that comes plenty of tracking options for a variety of activities including swimming. The smartwatch can also measure VO2 max, TE, TD and recovery time, thus making it really useful a must buy for all the fitness freaks out there.
