Xiaomi is preparing up to launch the next generation of Redmi devices and that became evident when a red box with the number ‘5’ embossed on it was leaked. The Redmi series has been one of the most successful smartphone series in the Indian Market.
According to the report, this leak could indicate the release of Redmi 5 devices. Although the leaked images of Redmi Note 5 do not reveal any particular information about the upcoming Xiaomi smartphone, it sure does a good job of suggesting its presence. The newly leaked image hardly gives away much, but previous leaks have suggested that the Redmi Note 5 Plus will come with similar specifications as the Redmi Note 5.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 630 processor.
Redmi Note 5 storage variants- 3GB/ 32GB and 4GB/ 64GB – ditching the 2GB RAM variant that was seen on its predecessor, the Redmi Note 4. In terms of graphical performance, the device is said to come with Adreno 508 GPU. It is expected to pack a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixel) display.
The Redmi note 5 is said to offer a 16- megapixel main camera to its mid-range segment with the Redmi Note5. The rear camera said to have a f/2.0 aperture, is accompanied by an LED flash module. On the front side, the smartphone is expected pack a 13- megapixel camera.
There is a good chance that the company might disclose the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi note 5 plus at the same launch event.
Redmi Note 5 Plus
The plus suffix is an indicator that the device will be larger as compared to the normal version. It will come with FullHD resolution instead of the 720p screen. According to the report, Xiaomi might go for MediaTek’s Helio P25 and also launch a Snapdragon variant for various markets.
The device is rumored to launch with a dual camera setup; one module housing a 16Megapixel sensor and another with a 5Megapixel sensor. The device is even expected to bump up the front-facing camera with a 12Megapixel sensor.
