Xiaomi recently released its Mi Mix 2 bezel-less smartphone in India at Rs. 35,999. But it looks like the company is working on a new variant which has been spotted on Website in form of images.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Features
The alleged variant of the smartphones is being called as the ‘Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s’. While the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 comes with almost no bezels on three sides of the display, the Mi Mix 2s is seen sporting an iPhone X-like notch on top.
The notch, however, is shorter in length as compared to the iPhone X, leaving more area for the display on either side. A small LED notification light can also be seen placed inside the Mi Mix 2s’ notch. There is absolutely no confirmation if the smartphone exists and if the images are legit or not.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 comes as a successor to the Mi Mix smartphone and went on sale in India last month. It features a 5.99-inch full HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) display resolution with 18:9 aspect ratio and ceramic rear panel.
The device is powered by a 2.4GHx octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with Adreno 540 GPU. Running Android 7.0 Nougat, the company has said that it will also receive Android 8.0 Oreo update by December.
Storage and Camera
The device comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It sports a 12MP rear camera with Sony IMX386 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 4K video recording, 4-axis OIS and dual tone LED flash. There’s also a 5MP front-facing camera with facial recognition placed at the bottom of the display.
The smartphone measures 151.8x 75.5 x7.7 mm and comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor placed on the rear panel. The device is backed by a 3400mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 for fast charging. It offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and USB Type C as connectivity options.
