Recently, Xiaomi has come up with its latest smart band called Hey+ in China. This latest Mi Band model had added new features such as a capacitive touchscreen panel, more battery life, better water resistance, Bluetooth 4.2 and lots more. Now, Xiaomi has introduced the Hey+ with some of those features like NFC support and an OLED display.

Interestingly, the Xiaomi Hey+ packs boast of specifications better than the Mi Band 3 in some ways. Unlike the Mi Band 3 that has a 0.78-inch capacitive OLED display with 128×80 pixels resolution, the Xiaomi Mi Band 3 features a larger, 0.95-inch display with almost twice the resolution (240×120 pixels). Compared to this, the Xiaomi Hey+ weighs 19.7 grams in total and is made of thermoplastic elastometer. Talking of battery, the band is backed by a 120mAh battery, which would be the same as the Mi Band 3.

There is Bluetooth 4.2 LE connectivity that makes the Xiaomi Mi Hey+ compatible with most of Android and iOS devices. Also, Xiaomi has brought NFC support to the Hey+ to make it more convenient for users to connect the new device with their smartphones. In fact, unlike the Mi Band 3, the NFC feature is not optional in Hey+.

The Xiaomi Hey+ has been designed especially for sports activities, which would be able to track the swimming, running, and walking activity. It also has a heart-rate (PPG) sensor. Using the MiFit app, users might as well enable the Hey+ to send information about the user’s pulse to a smartphone. Additionally, the Xiaomi Hey+ comes with a caller ID feature that can be used to reject calls directly from the band. In addition, the accelerometer also helps in sleep monitoring.

Further, the Xiaomi Hey+ displays up to 10 calls and 10 messages at a time. Each message might as well contain a total of 300 Chinese characters. The company claims that the battery life of the Hey+ is 18 days with average use. With Bluetooth 4.2, users would be also able to connect the Hey+ to a smartphone as well as Xiaomi’s Home Automation system. For further connectivity, users would have to pair it with the Mijia app.

The Xiaomi Hey+ is priced at CNY 229 which is roughly ₹2,300 and can be purchased via the official site of Xiaomi YouPin from September 20 in China.
